Gary Lane graduated from Arizona State University’s Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture, majoring in Urban Planning with an emphasis in Urban Design. After getting his degree, and with his work experience with Healey and Baker, in the U.K, Gruen Associates and Design Workshop in Phoenix. He took on municipal roles in planning and development. He worked for several years as Senior Planner/Planning Manager in the cities of Avondale and Goodyear, Arizona, giving him an in-depth understanding of how municipalities operate.

In 1998 Gary joined Aperion Communities, a land development company that acquired, entitled, and/or developed finished lots for homebuilders, retail centers and Industrial parks. He entitled over 75,000 single family lots, 5000 acres of commercial land and 4,000 of industrial property. He worked on a wide array of projects ranging from a 5-acre subdivision in Scottsdale, Arizona to a large master planned community of over 28,000 homesites in Sandoval County, New Mexico. Gary actively researched and identified markets on behalf of Aperion Companies and was instrumental in the acquisition of its major profit turning land investments. He acted in the capacity as Senior Project Manager and later Vice-President of Entitlement and Development, and in those capacities was responsible for land acquisition, securing entitlements, municipal reimbursements, daily operations, infrastructure  construction and eventual project disposition. 

In 2009 Gary started LBG Development, a “full service” land development company. During the Great Recession LBG Development under Gary worked with investors, banks, and property owners to rebrand, rezone, acquire and develop property. 

More recently, Gary has entitled and developed various mixed-use communities. In Mesa Arizona, “Destination at Gateway” is a clear example of quality design. Gary encouraged unique useable open spaces integrated among many different housing and commercial designs; 83 rd Avenue and Thunderbird in Peoria, Arizona and Carlston Ranch in the City of Carlsbad, New Mexico.

In addition, LBG Development has worked with several national home builders to create unique subdivisions in Glendale, Arizona, Maricopa Pinal, and Pima Counties in Arizona. 

Through his solid educational background and many years of experience working within the land development sector Gary Lane has developed a unique skill set and a model for maximizing a property’s overall worth. He has a very strong work ethic and maintains his client’s best interests within every financial endeavor. He is founder and principal of LBG Development and can bring his expertise to you.
